TOMPS, a digital application owned by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero), is trusted by Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), in the integration of project acceleration and supervision in 5 Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP). This project includes five tourism areas: Lake Toba, Borobudur, Lombok, Labuan Bajo, and Manado-Bitung-Likupang.
The Geographic Information System (GIS)-based monitoring system application will combine data from each DPSP project by region into a single platform known as TOMPS.
Following up on this collaboration, Tomps organized a training for employees of the Borobudur Authority Implementing Body titled “Training on Data Integration for Tomps GIS Applications, Borobudur Super Priority Tourism Destinations” (BPOB). The training lasted two days and took place at the Kayu Arum Hotel in Salatiga City on August 25 and 26, 2022.
Borobudur BPO employees will benefit from this data integration training. Mr. Agustin Warinangin, the Managing Destination Director of the Borobudur Authority and one of the facilitators in this training, opened the activity. Apart from that, Mr. VT. Hariwibowo, the Head of Salatiga City’s Culture and Tourism Office.
Mr. Andika Pramudya, Tomps’ Chief Technology Officer, presented the first material, which included an introduction to the Tomps application and the importance of an integrated dashboard between one project and another.
Mrs. Ginta Sabrina, as IT Support Tomps, presented the second material, “Tomps GIS Application Data Integration Simulation,” which includes the implementation of online-based project dashboards in Indonesia, which has resulted in a significant improvement in report preparation. One of them is the role of the Tomps Application, which has evolved from a role in compiling projects in one dashboard to a role in monitoring the entire list of projects in each selected location, beginning with viewing project status based on icons and also total budget for the entire project. In this case, Simulation, along with data input from participants, makes use of excel data prepared by the participant committee.
The participants were very enthusiastic about the implementation of this training, as evidenced by the active interaction between the facilitator and all participants, both in the question and answer process and discussion of the problems encountered by participants while carrying out their work.
